Ronaldo began his career playing for Sporting CP in August 2002. He then signed for English club Manchester United the following year 2003 for £12.2 Million.
In 2009 he became the world most expensive player when he was signed to Real Madrid for £80 Million.
When Ronaldo signed for Manchester United in 2003 he was the most expensive teenager to be bought in English football history. He received the Number 7 shirt which had previously been worn by United legends, George Best and David Beckham. On November 1st 2003 he scored his first goal for United with a free kick in a 3-0 victory against Portsmouth.
In 2007 Ronaldo scored his first and second UEFA Champions League goal in one game against Roma, this lead to a 7-1 victory. He scored the only goal against Manchester City on May 5th 2007 leading United to their first league title win in 4 years. Ronaldo extended his contract twice at his time playing at Manchester United as he felt Sir Alex Ferguson was his sporting father and that his time playing for United was key in his Football Career. Playing for Manchester United he helped win many trophies including: English Premier League 2006-2007, 2007-2008 & 2008-2009, the FA Cup 2003-2004, the Football League Cup 2005-2006 & 2008-2009 & UEFA Champions League 2007-2008.
In the season of 2009-2010 Ronaldo signed to Real Madrid for a record breaking £80 Million. He made his first debut in La Liga on 29th of August against Deportivo La Coruna which he scored Madrid's 2nd goal in the game from the penalty spot.
Ronaldo scored his first two Champions League goals for the club both by free kicks against Zurich.
At the start of the 2011-2012 season, Ronaldo scored his 100th goal for Real Madrid and the Camp Nou during the Clasico. Ronaldo has been classed as the worlds best footballer on many occasions, my point of view is there are two and Cristiano Ronaldo is one of them. He has proved to us through out his career that he deserves his reputation as one of the best footballers in the world and of all time.
